The Paramus Rotary Club presented The Florie Scialla Outstanding Community Service Award to the Englewood Rotary Club for their “The Saori Tapestry Project”.
The Community SAORI Tapestry Project was a collaborative public art initiative promoting peace and unity. The project features a massive tapestry, over 100 feet long, woven by more than 350 individuals and 21 local non-profits. The tapestry will be exhibited in various community locations, Englewood City Hall, as a well as BergenPAC.
Presenting the award were Past Paramus Club President and Past District Governor Emil Geering as well as most recent Paramus Club’s Past President Debbie Cibelli. The Florie Scially award was named after the first woman president of the Paramus Rotary Club.
The Florie Scialla Award itself will have a superb home for all to see upon completion of the renovated Englewood Public Library as part of a Rotary Club of Englewood Historical Exhibit.
